Rajinikanth's next film to be with Siruthai Siva? Here's what the director has to say
While fans of the superstar are eagerly looking forward to Darbar, there has been a curiosity amongst the viewers for the longest time if Rajinikanth is collaborating with Siruthai Siva.
Superstar Rajinikanth is currently busy with the shooting of his upcoming film, Darbar. Being directed by AR Murugadoss, the shooting of the film kick-started earlier this year in Mumbai. While fans of the superstar are eagerly looking forward to this film, there has been a curiosity among the moviegoers for the longest time if Rajinikanth is doing collaborating with Siruthai Siva. Recently at the awards show, the director was questioned about his next film and if he is collaborating with Rajinikanth. To this, he replied, "It is too early to speak about it."
"There are many movies in the pipeline and will talk about it at the correct time," Siruthai Siva concluded. Well, Siruthai Siva seems to have almost confirmed his film with Rajinikanth but an official announcement on the same is awaited. Rumours of Siva approaching Rajinikanth for a film started doing the rounds after the director visited Rajinikanth residence. Siruthai Siva last delivered a hit with Thala Ajith in Viswasam.
According to a report in IB Times, the film will have a village as the backdrop and is expected to hit the floors on Rajinikanth's birthday. Reportedly, the makers plan to release the flick for Diwali 2020.
Meanwhile, Rajinikanth will be donning the cop's look in Darbar after nearly 25 years. The film stars Nayanthara in the female lead. Darbar will be edited by Sreedhar Prasad while Santosh Sivan is the cinematographer.
