Rajinikanth’s Thalaivar 168: Prakash Raj to play key role in the film

In what comes as an exciting news to Rajinikanth fan, his upcoming film, Thalaivar 168 will be having sensational actor Prakash Raj in one of the key roles. It was announced on Monday by Sun Pictures, who are bankrolling the upcoming biggie. The makers also made it official that actor Keerthy Suresh has been roped in to play the role of Rajinikanth’s daughter in the film. While Siruthai Siva will be directing the movie, D Imman will be scoring the music.

Coming back to Prakash Raj, the actor has shared screen space with Rajinikanth in only one movie so far. They both were seen together in the 1999 film Padayappa. He was seen in a cameo role, who appeared for a while towards the climax. Prakash Raj has had close to 10 movies this year, with a couple more movies awaiting to be released including the Telugu film Ruler. Earlier, Sun Pictures announced that actor Soori had been roped in as part of the cast. They tweeted a video of Soori making the announcement official.

The makers of Thalaivar 168 are updating the audience with exciting announcements about the cast and crew almost every day. The movie is expected to go on floors in the third week of December and is slated to release on Diwali 2020. It was earlier speculated that senior actors Meena and Khushbu Sundar are in talks to be roped in to play the female lead. However, no official announcement has been made on this yet.
