Rajinikanth’s Annaatthe: Jagapathi Babu joins the cast of the Siruthai Siva directorial
Directed by Siruthai Siva, Annaatthe has four leading ladies namely Khushbu Sundar, Meena, Nayanthara and Keerthy Suresh.
At a time when rumour mills are rife about the shooting process of Annaatthe, the makers of the Rajinikanth starrer have now announced that popular actor Jagapathy Babu has joined the cast of the film. It is being reported that the film’s shooting has started in Chennai. But the makers have not revealed any updates regarding the same. Earlier, it was announced by the makers of Annaatthe that the film will hit the big screens on November 4.
Directed by Siruthai Siva, Annaatthe has an ensemble of star cast other than Rajinikanth. The film has four leading ladies namely Khushu Sundar, Meena, Nayanthara and Keerthy Suresh. Prakash Raj will be seen playing a key supporting role while Satheesh and Soori are also a part of the film. It is expected that the makers will update us with an official announcement regarding the shooting process soon.

Before the lockdown was imposed, the film’s shooting was happening at a brisk pace in Hyderabad’s Ramoji Film City. However, after the pandemic, the film’s shooting was stopped. Later after the government permitted relaxations in lockdown, the shooting process commenced in Hyderabad. After a few weeks of shooting, four crew members tested positive for COVID 19 due to which the shooting had to be paused again. Later, when Rajinikanth was observing quarantine, he had developed complications in his health and was advised to be under rest for a few months.
