Rajinikanth congratulates Amitabh Bachchan on being selected for the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award

Bollywood’s megastar Amitabh Bachchan has been ruling our hearts for decades and there is no denial about this fact.  Big B has entertained us in all his movies with his amazing performances – be it in his ‘angry young man’ style or be it in any other style. The 76 – year old star will now be conferred the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award this year much to the excitement of his fans and well – wishers.

As soon as the special announcement was made by Union Minister Prakash Javadekar on social media, wishes started pouring in for Big B from all over the country. South superstar Rajinikanth has also sent his wishes for the Brahmastra actor on his Twitter handle. The Darbar actor writes, “Congratulations dear SrBachchan ji !!! Earlier today, Union Minister Prakash Javadekar took to his Twitter handle and wrote, “The legend Amitabh Bachchan, who entertained and inspired for two generations, has been selected unanimously for #DadaSahebPhalke Award. The entire country and international community is happy. My heartiest congratulations to him.”  

On the professional front, Amitabh Bachchan is currently hosting the 11^th season of Kaun Banega Crorepati. Big B has a whole lot of upcoming projects lined up including Brahmastra, Chehre, Gulabo Sitabo and many others. The legendary actor has also made a guest appearance in the Telugu movie Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy starring Chiranjeevi, Tamannaah Bhatia, Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi and Kichcha Sudeep in the lead roles.
