The South Indian cinema is all about larger than life sets, big budget, drama and action. The South Indian film industry comprises of movies being made in the Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam languages. Be it Baahubali or upcoming film RRR, the film-makers spend huge amounts while making the movies. That’s not all! They also believe is paying huge remuneration to the lead actors. In fact, South Indian actors are getting paid much more than Bollywood actors. Not to forget, South Indian cinema has already gained international recognition across the globe.

Vijay Deverakonda:

With two blockbusters Arjun Reddy and Geeta Govindam, reigning star Vijay Deverakonda charges around Rs 10 crores per film.

Ram Charan:

Ram Charan Tej Konidela, son of Telugu Megastar Chiranjeevi, gets paid Rs 12-17 crores approximately per film.

Allu Arjun:

Popularly known as Bunny, Allu Arjun charges approximately Rs 14 crores for every movie he works in.

Kamal Haasan:

Kamal Haasan, who has worked in Tamil and Hindi cinema, charges an incredible amount of Rs 25-30 crores per film.

Dhanush:

Dhanush, who has won a National Award for Best Actor charges about Rs 10 to 15 crores per assignment.

Nagarjuna:

Nagarjuna, who will soon be seen in Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer Brahmastra earns about Rs 7 to 10 crores.

Suriya:

Suriya earns around Rs 17-20 crores per film. The actor has major hits and few flops in his long acting career.

Vikram:

One of the richest actors in the South is the Tamil superstar Vikram. He is paid Rs 12 crores per movie.

Mahesh Babu:

Mahesh Babu is also one of the highest paid actors in Tollywood, with a remuneration of Rs 18 crores approx.

Prabhas:

Prabhas charged around Rs 25 crore for the movie Baahubali. With Saaho and an untitled Hindi film, Prabhas is charging even higher remuneration after the success of the blockbuster Baahubali series.
