R Madhavan's son Vedaant has made his family and country proud by getting silver medal home at the Asian Age Group Swimming Championship in the 4X100m freestyle relay.

South and Bollywood actor R Madhavan is a proud father and is currently over the moon, as his son, Vedaant has won a silver medal in swimming at the Asian Games. The 14-year-old boy has made his family and country proud by getting silver medal home at the Asian Age Group Swimming Championship in the 4X100m freestyle relay. India won the silver medal while Thailand has won the gold and Japan bronze. Sharing the winning moment of his son, R Madhavan took to Twitter and wrote, "India gets her Silver medal at the Asian Games . Gods grace .. Vedaants first official medal representing India ."

Soon Madhavan started receiving congratulatory messages and good wishes over his son's achievement. Jr. Bachchan tweeted, "Outstanding. Congratulations."

Talking about R Madhavan, the actor will next be seen in Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, based on the life of former Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) scientist Nambi Narayanan. The major part of the film has been shot in the USA. The makers of the film has roped in Simran Bagga to play his on-screen love interest.
