Prithviraj’s Brahmam: Makers dismiss claims of political reasons for dropping out Ahaana Krishna

We all know that Prithviraj Sukumaran is playing the lead role in the Mollywood remake of Andhadhun. Titled Brahmam, the film made the headlines when the makers announced that Ahaana Krishna is no longer a part of the cast. Now, they have issued a statement, where they have denied reports which suggested that she was dropped out due to political reasons.

Directed by Ravi K Chandran, Bhramam is the official Mollywood remake of the Hindi film Andhadhun, and it was revealed yesterday that the makers have wrapped up the shooting process. Prithviraj shared a photo from the sets and shared the news. The film will have music by Santosh Narayan. About Ahaana Krishna’s drop out, the makers even issued a statement where they have explained that there was no political reason. “We, Open Book Productions, the Executive Producers of the Malayalam film Bhramam hereby categorically deny political affiliations or any other considerations had anything to do with the casting and choice of technicians of the film.”

The statement further stated, “The entire decision of the casting and selection of technicians was that of the creative team of Director/DOP/Writer and the Producer. Any changes were as per the demand of the script and also with the consent of Team Bhramam. The camera test was getting delayed as she was working in another film and later she got infected with Covid 19. Eventually, when we did the photo shoot our Director/DOP/Writer felt she won’t fit the character which we communicated to her and even apologized for the inconvenience,” read the statement issued by the filmmakers.
