The trailer of the upcoming anthology Paava Kadhaigal has been released by the makers on Thursday. This anthology is directed by Vetrimaaran, Vignesh Shivan, Sudha Kongara Prasad and Gautham Menon. It is revealed that the film will have stories about how love, pride and honour influence a relationship and how they create complexity in a relationship. In the trailer, it is understood that the film will have four gut-wrenching stories that narrate how important acceptance is.

The teaser starts with Prakash paying a visit to his pregnant daughter played by Sai Pallavi. It can be understood that he is reuniting with her only to take her back to his village and cause harm. In the next part, what see Anjali tries to make her grandfather understand her sexuality, while he points out that the only important thing to him is his caste and his people. The part where Simran and Gautham Vasudev Menon appear, it is seen that they both conspire to murder their little daughter.

The final part shows a Muslim transgender, who fights tooth and nail to be accepted by his family. Jointly produced by Ronnie Screwvala's RSVP Movies and Ashi Dua Sara's Flying Unicorn Entertainment, it is expected that the film’s release date will be announced soon. As far as the casting is concerned, the film has Anjali, Bhavani Sre, Gautham Menon, Hari, Kalidas Jayaram, Kalki Koechlin, Padam Kumar, Prakash Raj, Sai Pallavi, Shanthnu Bhagyaraj and Simran as the lead actors.
