Tamil star Suriya's film NGK released on Friday and it opened to mixed response from the audience and critics alike. Despite receiving mixed reviews, NGK has managed to hold a strong position at the box office. Selvaraghavan directorial film is raking in money and has become the second highest weekend grosser of 2019 in Chennai. The film has collected a total Rs 3 crore in three days of its release. The political thriller is also earning well in the USA and has done a total Rs 60 crore worldwide. The film successfully crossed the $100k-mark in the USA on the second day of its release.
Despite the film being leaked by piracy website TamilRockers and receiving a mixed response, NGK seems to be unaffected. The film continues its strong hold. Director Selvaraghavan took to Twitter and thanked his fans for the overwhelming response from fans. He tweeted, "Thanks for the overwhelmimg support & love for #NGK Grateful.The love have shown is truly remarkable. And as some you guessed, the character of #NGK has lot of hidden layers & secrets. It's easy to find when you watch the film closely. Enjoy the film with family and friends!."
