NGK Box Office Collection Day 2: Suriya, Rakul Preet and Sai Pallavi's film continues its strong hold

Tamil star Suriya's film NGK hit the screens this Friday and it opened to mixed response. The political drama, NGK (Nanda Gopal Krishna) is directed by Selvaraghavan. The film had been in the making for almost 2 years and this had left audience curious to know what's in the store for them. The political thriller has finally released and is minting good numbers despite receiving a mixed response from the critics and audience.  According to trade analysts, NGK has managed to earn Rs 1.07 crore in Chennai alone on the second day and is going strong in other places as well. 

The film has done total business of Rs 2.10 crore in two days in Chennai, which is outstanding. Trade analyst LM Kaushik tweeted, "#NGK - Brand @Suriya_offl @selvaraghavan rocks the Saturday BO in Chennai city, grossing 1.07 CR.. Improvement from the Friday number... 2-days Chennai total 2.10 CR #NGKFire THARAM!BLOCKBUSTER NGK (sic)" Selvaraghavan's film starring Sai Pallavi and Rakul Preet Singh in the female lead is also earning well in the USA. The film has successfully crossed the $100k-mark in the USA, which is Rs 69 lakh approx in Indian currency. 

Despite the film being leaked by piracy website TamilRockers and receiving mixed response, NGK seems to be unaffected. The film continues its strong hold even on its second day at the Box Office.

The film has Suriya in the title role and sharing the screen space with him are Sai Pallavi and Rakul Preet Singh. NGK sees Suriya in the role of a young man who enters into politics unknowingly. Sai Pallavi plays his wife in the film and are sharing the screen space for the first time and this is one of the highlights.
