Nagarjuna Akkineni's Wild Dog to hit big screens on April 2; Actor REVEALS why they broke OTT release deal
Wild Dog will release in theatres on April 2nd, while the theatrical trailer will be out on March 10.
Nagarjuna Akkineni is all set for the grand release of his upcoming film, Wild Dog. The makers of Wild Dog today announced that the film will release in theatres on April 2nd, while the theatrical trailer will be out on 10th March. While speaking at the press con of his upcoming film, Nagarjuna said, "I was surprised when I first heard the title. But, I was convinced by director Ashishor Solomon’s reasoning. Wild Dog in the jungle can hunt anything. They don’t give up. The film will see that kind of a game. Moreover, my character has a nickname of Wild Dog."
Nagarjuna also opened on why they decided to cancel the OTT release. He revealed that initially, the makers had planned to release the film on OTT, but since Telugu films are doing wonderful of late, the team took a decision over big-screen release. "But looking at the success of Krack in January and Uppena in February, we became confident about Wild Dog’s theatrical success and we pulled ourselves out of the Netflix deal," Nag said at the press con today.
Sham Kaushal who worked for many Bollywood and Hollywood films has choreographed action sequences in the film. "Thaman has given background score and he’s a big asset for the film," Nag added.
Directed by debutant Ashishor Solomon, the film also stars Nagarjuna, Dia Mirza, Saiyami Kher and Atul Kulkarni.
