South superstar Mohanlal who is looking forward to the release of his upcoming film, Ittymaani Made in China is expected to kick start the shoot of Lucifer's sequel titled Empuraan in 2020. The film, Lucifer was helmed by director Prithviraj Sukumaran. Lucifer had marked the directorial debut of Prithviraj Sukumaran and who better than megastar Mohanlal to begin that journey with. The film, Lucifer directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran saw superstar Mohanlal essay the lead part in the film. This was the first film in the Malayalam film industry to cross the 200 crores milestone in box office collection.
The fans appreciated the film greatly and the film audience was might impressed by the film Lucifer. While talking about the sequel to Lucifer, the megastar Mohanlal stated that the film which is called Empuraan will begin its shoot from the year 2020. He further said that the director Prithviraj Sukumaran is the more appropriate person to talk about the film. Mohanlal went on to add that the film's story line is in the process of getting finalized and it will now move to the production stage. Since the scripting stage of the film Empuraan is now getting completed the megastar hopes to begin the shoot as per the schedule.
The film's script is penned by Murali Gopy and Prithviraj Sukumaran will return to direct the sequel to Lucifer. The megastar Mohanlal has some exciting projects coming up in the future. The fans along with Empuraan are also eagerly waiting for the release of Mohanlal starrer, Ittymaani Made in China, which will see the actor in a double role.
