Meena's husband Vidyasagar passes away yesterday after prolonged lung illness.
Actress Meena's husband Vidyasagar left for heavenly abode yesterday. He was suffering from a lung infection for some time and was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Chennai. His last rights will take place today afternoon at Besant Nagar in Chennai. Despite receiving constant medical care, he could not respond well to the treatment and continued to remain critical. He passed away at the age of 48.
Vidyasagar had also been diagnosed with COVID-19. However, he had recovered from it. Not too long after that, towards the end of March this year, he contracted a lung infection and was therefore admitted to the hospital. His health condition deteriorated gradually, and finally, he succumbed to it.
Meena exchanged wedding vows with Vidyasagar in June 2009 and had a daughter Nainika. The kid was also seen as Vijay Thalapathy's daughter in his 2016 cop drama titled Theri.
Meena made her name in the industry with some powerful performances in the Tamil and Malayalam projects. She was last seen on the big screen alongside superstar Rajinikanth in the 2021 drama, Annaatthe.
Shocked by the untimely demise of her life partner, fans and fellow actors of Meena showed support to her in these difficult times. Sarathkumar, Khushbu, Victory Venkatesh took to social media and posted condolences on the unfortunate news.
