Mammootty starrer Unda was all set to release on Eid this year. However, the makers have pushed the release date of the film. The film will now hit the screens on June 14. The news of the new release date was shared on Twitter by a film journalist.
The journalist tweeted that Mammootty's Unda's release date is delayed as the censor board people are meeting today at 2 pm to take a call on the application they received regarding the release of the film. The Kerala High Court mentioned that a case was filed against the film as they shot it in reserve forest area without permission.
Unda is directed by Khalid Rahman who is also the co-writer of the film. It is produced by Moviee Mill's Krishnan Sethukumar and Gemini Studios. Malayalam superstar Mammootty will be playing the role of a sub-inspector in the film.
Unda also stars Shine Tom Chacko, Jacob Gregory, Rajnith, Omkar Das Manikpuri, Dileesh Pothan, Kalabhavan Shajohn, Rony David and Arjun Ashokan.
