Recently, Malayalam superstar Mammootty reacted to the brutal Hyderabad murder case. At the Mamangam trailer launch in Mumbai, the actor was asked about the increasing rape cases in India, referring to the gruesome rape case of a veterinary doctor in Hyderabad last week.
The 26-year-old veterinarian’s brutal murder after being allegedly raped in Hyderabad has left the entire country shocked. Many celebrities like Mahesh Babu, Keerthy Suresh, Vijay Deverakonda, Sudheer Babu, Samantha Akkineni, Anushka Shetty among other South celebrities took to Twitter and expressed their anger on the horrific incident. Condemning the incident, Mammootty said, "Society should be conscious about it. They should change their consciousness. They should ask their consciousness, what are we doing, why are we doing. All are anxious. Everybody is concerned about it." Recently, Mahesh Babu took to Twitter and expressed his anger over the shocking incident. He tweeted, “Day after day, month after month, year after year... NOTHING is changing. We are failing, as a society! Sending my personal appeal to the state & central governments. @KTRTRS @PMOIndia we need stricter laws, capital punishment for heinous crimes like these...”
