Mahesh Babu finally opens on up on why he backed out from Sukumar's project and chose Anil Ravipudi's film
Recently, during his interaction with media for Maharshi, the Prince of Tollywood, Mahesh Babu spoke about why he made an exit from Sukumar's film.
Tollywood superstar Mahesh Babu who has geared up for the release of his upcoming film Maharshi had hit the headlines last month after he backed out of director Sukumar's project. Citing creative differences between the two, Mahesh Babu took to Twitter and announced about the same. The superstar and Sukumar had earlier collaborated for 1 Nenokkadine in 2014 and fans were eagerly waiting to see them back again together. However, Mahesh Babu walked out of the film. Recently, during his interaction with media for Maharshi, the Prince of Tollywood spoke about why he made an exit from Sukumar's film.
Mahesh Babu reasoned what made him choose Anil Ravipudi's film over Sukumar's film. He also added that they will definitely collaborate in the future. The superstar said, "Sukumar narrated an intense and depth plot while I was looking out for an entertaining one. So, I chose Anil Ravipudi's script instead of Sukumar and even he was contented with that. I will definitely collaborate with him in the future."
Taking to social media, the actor had earlier tweeted, “Due to creative differences, my film with Sukumar is not happening. I wish him all the best on the announcement of his new project. Respect always for a film maker par excellence. 1 Nenokkadine will remain as a cult classic. Enjoyed every moment working on that film.” (sic)

Sukumar has now teamed up with Allu Arjun and the director made an announcement on the same the next day after Mahesh Babu announced about his exit.
Meanwhile, Maharshi starring Pooja Hegde and Allari Naresh in the lead roles is all set to release on May 9.
