Maharshi Box Office Collection: Mahesh Babu starrer opens to fantastic response in the USA

Superstar Mahesh Babu’s 25th film Maharshi has witnessed an overwhelming response from the audiences and critics alike. The film also starring Pooja Hegde and Allari Naresh in the lead role showcases the journey of the superstar through three different phases of life. Directed and written by Vamshi Paidipally, Maharshi buzz hints that the film is going a long way at the box office. While we wait for the final first-day collection of the film, the film is doing good in the USA. However, going by Mahesh Babu's past records, Maharshi has done average business. 

According to a report in IB Times, Maharshi has collected $455,060 from 202 locations at the US box office from the preview shows. Earlier estimate figure is quite good and the collection is expected to go up with more shows in the evening and night. Maharshi received a good response at the advance booking not only in India but also in the USA. Maharshi was expected to beat the record of Spyder and Bharat Ane Nenu. BAN had collected $800,000, while Spyder has grossed $1,005,630 on an opening day in the USA at the box office. 

Meanwhile, the film is picking up in Karnataka and is expected to witness a massive weekend at the box office. The action-drama film has witnessed around 80% occupancy in Kerala.

Mahesh Babu as Rishi plays the role of a college student, who becomes a millionaire and the CEO of a company in the USA. Going by the reviews on Twitter, the first half of the film is a bit lengthy, while the second half is high on emotions.
