KGF star Yash REVEALS Sanjay Dutt was the first choice for Adheera from the beginning
Yash recently revealed in a media interaction that the Munna Bhai star was his first and last choice to play Adheera irrespective of the film's language.
South star Yash broke many box office records wit KGF: Chapter 1 when it released last year. The actor is now gearing up for the film's sequel and the makers recently dropped a huge announcement. They released a poster of the action thriller featuring Sanjay Dutt as the villain Adheera. And while the poster created a huge buzz on social media, Yash recently revealed in a media interaction that the Munna Bhai star was his first and last choice to play Adheera.
Irrespective in which language the film was made, Yash revealed that he wanted to cast Dutt since the beginning. "Sanjay ji was the first choice for the role from the beginning. Even when we planned to make the film only in Kannada, he was choice for the character of Adheera. When Prashant narrated the character, he was hell bent on signing Sanjay. We had even approached him for the first part but he was occupied with some other commitment,” Yash said.
Just like fans, Yash too is excited to work with Sanjay Dutt. He said, "His addition will be a big boost to KGF franchise. He’s a wonderful actor, and we’re happy he’s on board."
At an event, Dutt spoke about his character Adheera and said that its characteristics are quite similar to Thanos from Avengers: Endgame. "In KGF, Adheera's character is very powerful and if you've seen Avengers, you would have seen Thanos, so Adheera is similar to him," Dut had said.
