Starring Yash in the lead role, the sequel to the blockbuster franchise has been helmed by Prashanth Neel and is set to release on July 16. While moviegoers look forward to what's next in store for them, Yash's fans have penned a letter to PM Narendra Modi to declare a national holiday on the release day of KGF: Chapter 2. Yes, Yash's fans request Modi to declare a holiday in order to enjoy Yash's upcoming film in cinemas.
A letter which is going viral on social media reads, "As we all know the most expected Yash’s KGF: Chapter 2 releasing on 16/7/2021 Friday. People are eagerly waiting for the movie, so we are requesting you to declare a national holiday. Try to understand our feelings. It's not just a movie it’s our emotion." KGF: Chapter 2 also stars Sanjay Dutt, Prakash Raj and Raveena Tandon in important roles. The much-awaited Kannada film has Srinidhi Shetty playing the lead female role. The highlight of the action-entertainer will witness a face-off between the two characters- Sanjay Dutt's Adheera and Yash’s Rocky.
Ravi Basrur is on board as the music director, the cinematographer is Bhuvan Gowda. The upcoming Pan-India film is being backed by Hombale Films.
Prithviraj, who is backing the Malayalam version of the upcoming magnum opus recently tweeted, “I'm a huge fan of the KGF franchise and pretty much everything associated with it. Hombale films was among the first to reach out to me after Lucifer and discuss the possibility of an association. I definitely look forward to that but no better way to start the journey than to have the privilege of presenting one of the most anticipated films in the country.
