Karthik Subbaraj announces his Mollywood entry; Read Details
Filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj took to Twitter and revealed his entry to Mollywood as co-producer to the movie 'Chola'.
Karthik Subbaraj is one of the celebrities who makes sure to get the attention of movie-buffs for all the films he makes. The director has recently announced his entry into Mollywood. The director will be co-producing a Malayalam movie, ‘Chola’, which is being directed by Sanal Kumar Sasidharan. Though Karthik’s name appeared in the title card of Chola, he only recently made his production official. Chola is set to release on December 6, 2019. The movie received many positive reviews by film critics after its initial premieres in international film festivals.
A fascinating trailer of the movie was released last week and it can be said that the movie has a very strong plot. Produced by Joju George and Karthik Subbaraj under their banners Appu Pathu Pappu Productions and Stone Bench Films, Chola will have Joju George, Nimisha Sajayana and Akhil Viswanath in the lead roles. Taking to Twitter, Karthik made the announcement of his entry into Malayalam industry. “Pls don't miss this beautifully crafted heart wrenching film in theatres from 6th Dec”, he wrote. In the tweet, he also hinted on new announcements on Friday.

Meanwhile, shooting of Karthik Subbaraj’s upcoming movie with Dhanush, tentatively titled D40 was recently wrapped in London. It is being said that the rest of the movie will be shot in India. His previous movie with Rajinikanth, Petta made a major hit and Rajinikanth was seen in his charismatic avatar on screen after years. The movie also had Vijay Sethupathi, Bobby Simha, Simran, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Trisha, Sasikumar in key roles.
