Kamal Haasan's brother Charuhasan to be conferred Lifetime Achievement Award at CIFF 2019

South megastar Kamal Haasan definitely does not need any introduction. The Dashavathaaram actor has been winning the hearts of the audiences for the past six decades and continues to do so even now. His elder brother, Charuhasan is no less than him and is an equally popular South actor. The talented actor, who is currently in his 90s, is still a crucial part of the South film industry. Charuhasan has acted in numerous Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam movies.
The veteran actor will now be awarded with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award at the Chennai International Film Festival. He will be presented this award at the 17th International Film Festival which is going to be held in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The mega event will take place on December 12, 2019 in the presence of numerous well - known personalities belonging to the film fraternity. A total number of 95 movies from various countries are going to be screened at the event.
Talking about Charuhasan, he made his debut with the Tamil movie Uthiripookkal back in the year 1979. He has also directed some amazing movies like Puthiya Sangamam, Durga Sakthi, IPC 215 and many others. Charuhasan was last seen in the movie Dear Comrade which features Vijay Deverakonda, Rashmika Mandanna and Shruti Ramachandran in the lead roles. It has been produced by Yash Rangineni and is directed by Bharath Kamma. Charuhasan portrays the role of Vijay Deverakonda’s on – screen grandfather in the movie.
