Jayam Ravi on Rajinikanth row: We will delete the portions showing Rajini sir's political debut from Comali
Now, the lead actor of Comali, Jayam Ravi has given an official statement saying that the scene which shows Rajinikanth making his political debut will be deleted from the film. This portion of the film showing Rajinikanth did not go down well with his fans.
The film Comali which has Jayam Ravi play the lead has got into a controversy. As per reports, the film has a scene which features superstar Rajinikanth announcing his political debut. This scene has been considered as a dig taken at the megastar by his fans. This portion of the film showing Rajinikanth did not go down well with the viewers who made their disappointment evident on social media platforms. The fans said that the film is taking a dig at a senior actor like megastar Rajinikanth and it reflects poorly on the makers of the film.
Now, the lead actor of Comali, Jayam Ravi has given an official statement that the scene which shows Rajinikanth making his political debut will be deleted from the film. He also added that from the start pf his career he had tried his best to maintain a clean record for himself and has never hurt anyone's sentiments by his acting or films. The actor further said that his thoughts and feelings were portrayed through the characters he has played so far in his films, and states that he too was a Rajinikanth fans just like his other fans. Jayam says he had grown up watching Rajinikanth’s film and would never do anything that would hurt the sentiments of his fans.
The scene that caused the outrage among the Rajinikanth fans was the one, where, Jayam Ravi's character wakes up from coma after 16 years and a scene is played where Rajinikanth is announcing his political debut. The actor says in the scene that it was still 1996 and not the year 2016.
