Jallikattu: Lijo Jose Pellissery's film starring Antony Varghese to release in October? Find Out
Jallikattu will be showcased at the Toronto International Film Festival in the month of September. The film also stars Chemban Vinod Jose and Bigg Boss Malayalam winner, Sabumon Abdusamad.
The film Jallikattu which is directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery is expected to hit the screens in the month of October. The news about the film's release came from Vijay Babu who is handling the film's distribution under the banner called Friday Film House. The film has actors Chemban Vinod Jose and Bigg Boss Malayalam winner, Sabumon Abdusamad essaying crucial roles. The Antony Varghese starrer is produced by Thomas Panicker under the banner of Opus Penta. The film, Jallikattu is based in a rural set up which revolves around the event of Jallikattu which involves buffaloes.
The Lijo Jose Pellissery directorial is said to have its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in the month of September. TIFF is a highly recognized film festivals across the globe and it is a real honour for the film to get the opportunity to have its premiere at TIFF. The film will have screenplay by S Hareesh and R Jayakumar. The film's story line is based on the short story written by S Hareesh. The short story is titled Maoist.
The camera work for Jallikattu is done by Girish Gangadharan who is known for his work for the film called Angamaly Diaries. Deepu Joseph who has worked on the film, Ee. Ma. Yau will edit the film. The picture shared by the director of the film features Antony Varghese in an intense look. The actor's face is covered in different colours. The film, Jallikattu will be show cased in the Contemporary World Cinema category at TIFF.
