Jagame Thandhiram: Dhanush fans demand theatrical release & stick posters of the film across Tamil Nadu; Watch

A while back, it was reported that Dhanush’s upcoming film Jagame Thandhiram will release on the OTT platform and in theatres at the same time. While fans were waiting for an official update regarding the film’s release, Dhanush has said that he was also hoping to release the film on the big screens and that he was keeping his fingers crossed. Now, the fans of Dhanush are demanding a theatrical release and a video of them sticking posters of Jagame Thandhiram across Tamil Nadu has surfaced online.

Hashtag #WewantJTintheatres is also trending on the microblogging website, as fans are expressing how badly they want to watch the film on the big screens. Directed by Karthik Subbaraj, Jagame Thandhiram is touted to be a gangster flick and has Dhanush in the titular role, while Lekshmi Menon will be seen as the leading lady. The film has music by Santosh Narayanan. Two songs have been released so far, and both the songs turned out to be huge hits.

Talking about the film’s release, Dhanush wrote on his Twitter space, “I am hoping for the theatrical release of Jagame Thandiram like the theatre owners, exhibitors, distributors, cinema lovers, and most of all my fans. Fingers crossed”. Meanwhile, Dhanush has an interesting lineup of films in his kitty. He is awaiting the release of Karnan, while he is busy with the shooting of his next film with Karthik Naren with Malavika Mohanan as the leading lady. He recently announced that he will be acting in a Hollywood movie titled The Grey Man.
