Reportedly, Anil Kapoor has been roped in for a crucial role in Kamal Haasan starrer Indian 2. The veteran Bollywood actor was recently spotted on the sets of Indian 2 and the picture of him with director Shankar has gone viral on social media. However, it's not sure if Anil Kapoor paid a casual visit to Shankar or he is a part of the film.
An official announcement on the same is awaited. If Anil Kapoor is a part of Indian 2, it will be his comeback to South cinema after three decades. Also, it will mark a huge reunion of Kapoor and Shankar after two decades. The Bollywood actor was last seen in the 1980 Telugu film, Vamsa Vruksham. Meanwhile, the team is currently shooting for the film in Sriperumbudur. Indian 2, a sequel to 1992 Tamil blockbuster Indian and there is huge expectation among the moviegoers. Indian 2 also stars Kajal Aggarwal.
Rakul Preet Singh is also a part of the film. Revealing about it, Rakul told Times of India, “It’s a sequel to one of the biggest hits in Indian cinema and I’m really kicked about being a part of it. I was excited when I was offered the role because it’s a Shankar-Kamal Haasan combination and getting a chance to work with legends like that so early in my career is an opportunity I did not want to miss."
