EXCLUSIVE: Bigg Boss Tamil 3 Vanitha Vijaykumar says, 'I will never forget Kamal Haasan's hug'
Bigg Boss Tamil 3: Former Bigg Boss contestant Vanitha Vijaykumar reveals her true feelings for host and superstar Kamal Haasan after her elimination from the show
Former actress Vanitha Vijaykumar and the controversial contestant of this season of Big Boss Tamil has been in the news both during her stint in the house and after. Staying true to the USP of the show, Vanitha was both rebuked and berated by the show’s host and ulaganayagan, Kamal Haasan. Speaking to PinkVilla, Vanitha insists that there is no love lost.
On her encounters with Kamal Haasan, she says, “That was one thing that was missing in my life. Being from a celebrity family and known everyone so closely for my lifetime, I have been part of their family. Kamal sir is one person with whom I never had a chance to develop a closer bond. It never moved beyond a mere hello or vannakkam with him. I have been his fan since my childhood, this show was a platform for him to get to know me more than me getting to know him.”
With a tint of excitement in her voice, she continues, “All the interactions between us were very honest and real. Somewhere it felt very nice, and unblemished from the bottom of his heart. In the second and third week, I was very thrilled. He really noticed me and appreciated me for things which he found interesting and genuine.”
On July 15, she was evicted in one of the most controversial episodes of the season. “Even during eviction he hugged me, and that’s a picture which I will cherish. It was the missing part of my life’s album. I am not sure about his personal views but he told me something very clearly which was very inspiring. He told me: You have to understand sometimes that when I see the show from outside, I realize some people are very bad.”
Vanitha further adds, “I don't think he has any personal views but I am happy that he wasn't contradicting my views and he actually gave me a very good send-off. I am confident, just like the whole of Tamil Nadu, he will miss me on the show. I didn't treat him the way probably like any other contestant over there would treat him - only look up to him or take his advice, plead forgiveness. I went out of the way. I was like a college kid looking at my hero over there.”
She then recounts an advice from Kamal Haasan that is now etched in her mind, he told her, “When one of my films don't do well at the box office, I get negative reviews. People also bring up my past. It has never bothered me. I have moved on to my next venture but changed my views or thought process.”
