Did Samantha Akkineni reject a BIG Bollywood offer? Find Out
While reports suggest that Taapsee Pannu is in talks for the Hindi remake of U-Turn, it is being said that Samantha was the original choice for the Bollywood version too. However, the acted rejected the offer when she was approached.
After news of Hindi remake for U-Turn emerged, speculations surfaced as to who would play the female lead in the film. The film was released in two languages in 2018 – Tamil and Telugu, which was intern a remake of a Kannada film. The Tamil-Telugu version has Samantha Akkineni in the lead female role. Buzz is that, Samantha declined the offer to play in the Bollywood version due to unknown reasons. Reports claim that Taapsee Pannu has now been approached to play the role.
Notably, this is not the first Bollywood film that Samantha rejected to play. When she was asked about the same, she had earlier stated that she’s happy working in the South and has no plans of moving to the North. Meanwhile, the actor is marking her digital debut with Manoj Bajpayee’s most waited Amazon web series, Family Man 2. Talking about it, Samantha said, "I am doing the series The Family Man, so I think that's my first step (towards the Hindi film industry). I enjoyed being a part of The Family Man a lot. I am very happy that season one got a lot of appreciation. I am enjoying working with the team of the show and I can't wait for a new set of audience to see my work."

Shooting of the series started in November 2019 and the official release date has not yet been announced. It can be said that the year 2019 has been working out well for her. Her dark and twisted role in Tamil film in Super Deluxe took the audience by a surprise. Her solo hit Telugu film Oh Baby was successful at the box office.
