Dhanush & Sai Pallavi's Rowdy Baby from Maari 2 is YouTube's #1 most viewed music video in India; 7th in world
In what comes as an exciting news to the fans of actor Dhanush, the song 'Rowdy baby' from Maari 2, is now the most-watched video in India on the video streaming application YouTube.
Almost everyone's a fan of the 'Rowdy Baby' number from Dhanush-Sai Pallavi starrer Maari 2. Now, the song, set to tune by Yuvan Shankar Raja, has pocketed yet another record. Wunderbar Films, the production house owned by Dhanush, took to Twitter and said that the song is the #1 most-viewed music video in India, and seventh in the world, overall as per YouTube's 2019 rewind list.
This, indeed, is a big achievement and the credit goes to Sai Pallavi's scintillating moves, Dhanush's amazing screen presence, Yuvan Shankar Raja's foot-tapping music and not to forget, Prabhudeva's delightful choreography. While Rowdy Baby is at the top spot, it is followed by 'Vaaste' by Dhvani Bhanushali and Nikhil D at the second spot.
'Ve Maahi' from Kesari, 'Dheeme Dheeme', 'Pachtaoge' and 'O Saki Saki' also made it to the YouTube rewind list.
"For the last several years, video has increasingly been a medium that inspired and fascinated Indians and also became the canvas for their imaginations. In the twelfth year of YouTube's journey in India, 2019 has proven to be a coming-of-age year in more ways than one," Satya Raghavan, Director - YouTube Partnerships, India, was quoted as saying.
The world list has Daddy Yankee and Snow's 'Con Calma' topping the list, followed by ROSALIA, J Balvin's 'Con Altura' (Official Video) ft. El Guincho. Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello's 'Senorita' also has a spot in the top six. Rowdy Baby is at the seventh place.
