A few pictures of Rajinikanth and Nayanthara have made their way to social media. The actors are currently shooting for their upcoming film Darbar in Mumbai.

Nayanthara has finally joined superstar Rajinikanth on the sets of Darbar in Mumbai. The Lady Superstar, who was last seen in horror thriller Airaa, is teaming up with Rajinikanth for the third time after Chandramukhi (2005) and also briefly in Kuselan (2008). On the other hand, this is Nayanthara and director AR Murugadoss’ second collaboration after their 2005 hit film Ghajini. Well, the first schedule of Darbar has kick-started in Mumbai and there is a lot of curiosity among the fans.
A few pictures of Rajinikanth and Nayanthara have made their way to social media. One can see in the photos Thalaivar looking young and dapper as he shoots, while Nayanthara is seen dressed up in a white cotton sari as she heads for her shot. On Tuesday, Nayanthara joined Rajinikanth on the sets of the film shooting in Mumbai. The makers took to Twitter to share the news. “#Nayanthara joins the sets of thalaivar’s #Darbar today @ARMurugadoss @santoshsivan @anirudhofficial #IdhuThalaivarinDarbar,” Lyca Productions tweeted.
Bollywood actor Prateik Babbar to play the antagonist’s son in the film. Lensman Santosh Sivan will be the cinematographer and music is given by Anirudh Ravichander.

The entire cast and crew of AR Murugadoss' Darbar performed pooja to before commencing the shooting of the film. Interestingly, Rajinikanth will be essaying the role of a cop after almost 25 years, having last played a cop in the film Pandiyan (1992).
