Darbar: This Hollywood actor wants to work with Rajinikanth and Nayanthara in AR Murugadoss' film
The first schedule of Darbar kick-started in Mumbai and there has been a lot of curiosity among the moviegoers to know what’s in the store next. The film will see Rajinikanth as a cop yet again after two decades.
Superstar Rajinikanth is currently shooting for his next film, Darbar. The film which is being directed by AR Murugadoss is one of the much-anticipated films. The film also has Nayanthara, Prateik Babbar, Nivetha Thomas and Yogi Babu among few others in the lead roles. The first schedule of the film kick-started in Mumbai and there has been a lot of curiosity among the moviegoers to know what’s in the store next. The film will see Thalaivar as a cop yet again after two decades. The reach for Rajinikanth starrer has reached internationally as well.
Recently, Hollywood actor and filmmaker Bill Duke expressed his wish to work in the film. He requested to cast him as Nayanthara's uncle in the film. Bill Duke tweeted, "@ARMurugadoss I do not speak #Tamil...but I could be @rajinikanth "long lost American Cousin" or #Nayanthara "Uncle" you know they say I can act!!! @sreekar_prasad & @santoshsivan can edit me in!!! @anirudhofficial can compose a #HitSong with stars from all over, what you think? AR Murugadoss was totally surprised by seeing a tweet from the legendary Hollywood actor. He replied back, "Sirrrrrr..? It's really you.? (sic)"
Being produced by Lyca Productions, the film will hit the theatres on Pongal 2020. Darbar marks the fourth collaboration of superstar Rajinikanth and Nayanthara. Previously, the two of them have worked together in the movies Sivaji, Chandramukhi and Kuselan.
