Choreographer Shiva Shankar passes away after battling COVID 19
Actors Chiranjeevi, Sonu Sood and Dhanush had extended financial aid to the family for the treatment.
National Award-winning choreographer Shiva Shankar Master passed away at a private hospital this evening. He was reportedly in a critical condition as 75 per cent of his lungs were infected due to COVID-19. He was 72.
Shiva Shankar's wife and eldest son also tested positive for coronavirus. While his son is admitted to the hospital, his wife has quarantined at home. Actors Chiranjeevi, Sonu Sood and Dhanush had extended financial aid to the family for their treatment. Many celebrities like SS Rajamouli, Sonu Sood and others have mourned the loss of a talented personality.
Sonu Sood who helped Master's family with the treatment expense, tweeted, "Heartbroken to hear about the demise of Shiv Shankar masterji. Tried our best to save him but God had different plans. Will always miss you masterji. May almighty give strength to the family to bear this loss. Cinema will always miss you, sir."
Shiva Shankar Master won the National Film Award for best choreography in the film, Magadheera.
