Chiranjeevi calls Vijay Sethupathi his ‘friend’; Lauds his role as the main antagonist in Master
Chiranjeevi was taking part in the pre release event of Vijay Sethupathi starrer Upenna when he called the latter his friend.
Vijay Sethupathi is still basking in the success of his recent film Master. He is getting lauded by his fans and critics. During the pre-release event of his upcoming film Uppena, Chiranjeevi was all praises for Vijay Sethupathi’s role in the film. Addressing him as ‘ennoda nanban’ (my friend), Chiranjeevi said that the Makkal Selvan had pulled off his role in the film with ease. The Megastar added that Vijay Sethupathi is a versatile actor.
Chiranjeevi and Vijay Sethupathi shared the screen space in the period drama Sye Ra Narasimha Reddy. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Master has Thalapathy Vijay in the lead role, while Malavika Mohanan is the leading lady. Shanthnu Bhagyaraj, Andrea Jeremiah, Gauri Kishan and Arjun Das are the other stars who played the other key roles in the film. The film hit the big screens on January 13, 2021, as a Pongal special and it received a lot of positive response.
Meanwhile, Chiranjeevi is currently busy with the shooting of the upcoming film Acharya, directed by Koratala Siva. The film has Kajal Aggarwal as the leading lady, while Ram Charan will be seen in a cameo role. It is being reported that Pooja Hegde will be seen as Ram Charan’s romantic interest. On the other hand, Vijay Sethupathi will be seen as the main antagonist in the upcoming Tollywood film Uppena. He is busy with the shooting of Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal directed by Vignesh Shivan, which has Samantha Akkineni and Nayanthara as the leading ladies.
