Box Office Clash: Jyothika's Raatchasi VS Samantha Akkineni's Oh Baby
The talented actresses of Tamil and Telugu film industries, Jyothika and Samantha Akkineni will battle at the box office with their respective films on July 5.
Raatchasi, Jyothika’s upcoming Tamil film, is garnering much-needed hype and moviegoers can't wait to know what's next in the store. After playing a powerful role in Kaatrin Mozhi, Jyothika is set to impress the audience with another interesting role as a teacher. Directed by Gowtham Raj, the movie has Jyothika playing the role of a teacher, Geetha Rani. The story of the film revolves around a teacher who is on a mission against who do not wish any better for the children of the state-owned schools. The trailer of the film received positive response and fans are awaiting another solo hit by Jyothika. Raatchasi is all set for the big release on July 5.
Interestingly, Samantha Akkineni's upcoming Telugu film, Oh Baby is also releasing on the same date. The talented actresses of Tamil and Telugu film industry will battle at the Box Office with their respective films. Both Raatchasi and Oh Baby are women-centric films, having a strong storyline. Oh Baby revolves around a woman in her 70s played by Lakshmi, who finds herself in the body of her 20-year-old girl played by Samantha. Oh! Baby is an official remake of South Korean film Miss Granny. The buzz around the film is quite positive, it remains to see if Sam sets a new record with Oh! Baby.
Produced by SR Prabhu under the banner of Dream Warrior Pictures, Raatchasi will also mark the directorial debut of Gowtham Raj.
