Bigil director Atlee opens up on his Telugu debut and hints at teaming up with Jr NTR?

Director Atlee has geared for the release of his much-anticipated film, Bigil starring Thalapathy Vijay. The makers of the film recently hosted an event in Hyderabad, attended by Atlee, his wife Priya and others. During his interaction with media, the director spoke about his Telugu debut and also gave a hint about his collaboration with Jr NTR for the first film. “I am indebted to the Telugu audience. I have been longing to direct a Telugu film," said Atlee at the event. 

Speaking at the pre-release event of Whistle, the Telugu version of Bigil, Atlee opened up about making Telugu directorial debut. “I am indebted to the Telugu audience. I have been longing to direct a Telugu film and my wish is going to be fulfilled soon. Jr. NTR is a good-hearted and transparent person. He always leaves a heart-warming message for my every film and I am thankful for his support,” Atlee was quoted in a report by Cinema Express. Now it remains to see when the things fall into the place. Meanwhile, Jr NTR is busy with SS Rajamouli's RRR. 

Talking about his upcoming film Bigil starring Vijay, Atlee said, “Atrocities against women is one of the major topics of discussion in our country today. So, we thought of making an emotional film which can make a difference to the society, highlighting such issues in an artistic way."

The music of Bigil has been given by AR Rahman, who said in a recent interaction that he hasn't worked on a film of this genre in South India.
