Bigg Boss Telugu host Nagarjuna's house mobbed; OU students ask ‘Why is he not responding to the allegations’
Sexual harassment allegations made by 2 expected contestants on Bigg Boss Telugu season 3 have led a student union from Osmania University to surround host Nagarjuna's house
The third season of Bigg Boss Telugu is all set to premiere on July 21. However, the season has been making headlines thanks to controversies even before the first episode has aired. Recently 2 expected contestants, journalist Swetha Reddy and actress Gayatri Gupta, filed a complaint against the Bigg Boss Telugu organisers alleging sexual harassment. This left the makers as well as host, superstar Akkineni Nagarjuna, upset and there was speculation that the show will be postponed.
However, it was reported that the show is going forward with its original plan and Nagarjuna Akkineni has already shot for the premiere episode at Annapurna 7acres, Hyderabad. Sadly, now the show has fallen into yet another controversy. A student union from Osmania University, who are protesting for the cancellation of the show, mobbed the superstar's residence in Hyderabad today. The reason behind this agitation? First are the sexual harassment allegations made and secondly, they feel the format of the show is anti-Telangana.
A student leader shared, “Why is Nagarjuna not responding to the serious allegations. He openly said in the past that Bigg Boss is a useless show. Such a person himself is the host today! Two women have laid casting couch allegations at the doorsteps of the show. We would have no objections if Nagarjuna comes out and says what he thinks about the allegations. But he is maintaining silence.”
A video of the scene has been shared by IndiaGlitz on Twitter:
