Bigg Boss Tamil is one of the most watched and popular television reality shows in South. The third season is currently being aired, which is hosted by superstar Kamal Haasan. The season commenced on 23 June this year with 15 contestants and is having a good run so far. Film actress and former newsreader Fathima Babu and producer Vanitha Vijayakumar have been evicted from the show. Some of the most controversial participants include names like Meera Mithun and Losliya Mariyanesan.

Supermodel and film actress Meera Mithun recently made headlines when a police case was filed against her. According to reports, a complaint was filed by beauty show producer Ranjitha Bandari who alleged that the actress had taken Rs 50,000 for allotting a slot in a beauty contest which was cancelled, and the money was not returned to her. Meera claimed that the payment was for sponsorship and the cheque given by the complainant got dishonoured.

On Thursday, Meera was granted anticipatory bail by Justice G K Ilanthireyan, who directed the actress to appear before the Teynampet police for two weeks and deposit ₹50,000 in the court. Meera had claimed that she is innocent, would cooperate with the investigation and abide by any condition imposed by the court.
