Actress, choreographer and Bigg Boss Tamil fame, Gayathri Raghuram has hit the headlines over her controversial remarks on VCK chief Thol Thirumavalavan. Gayathri recently got into a heated argument with the supporters of Thirumavalavan. It all started after a video of Thirumavalavan describing the structure of Hindu temples along with the other religious structures surfaced online. However, the actress landed into trouble after she alleged that cadres of the party are harassing her over and her assistant over the phone calls.
Stating that the MP was speaking ill of Hindus, Gayathri Raghuram challenged him to meet at the Marina beach in Chennai. After this, the IT wing reported to Twitter and soon Gayatri's account was suspended. "Downfall of thirumavalan starts as he start spreading my assistant number and harassing a woman. They all still happily talk bad about Hindus and god's. shameless MP. [sic]" Deccan Chronicle quoted her twitter post account suspended.
Thirumavalavan supporters requested Gayatri not to use abusive words against their leader and when things went overboard, a complaint was filed and things were brought to notice. Many even slut-shamed Gayathri over the same.

Thirumavalavan, the MP from Chidambaram recently made a controversial comment that temples have 'dirty dolls' referring to statues and carvings. Meanwhile, a police complaint has been filed against Gayathri Raghuram at a police station in Chennai.
