Ayushmann Khurrana’s Article 15 to be remade in South Indian languages?
Anubhav Sinha’s Article 15, which stars Ayushamann Khurrana in the lead is witnessing a reverse trend. The filmmakers from South have joined the race to acquire remake rights of Anubhav Sinha’s Article 15.
From the past few years, various south films have been remade and adapted in Bollywood. The trend of remakes has taken over. Recently, filmmaker Karan Johar bought the Hindi rights of Vijay Deverakonda starrer Dear Comrade while Shahid Kapoor is reportedly locked for the Hindi remake of Telugu film Jersey. Owing to the success of remakes, the trend has caught up and filmmakers from Bollywood are keeping an eye on buying remake rights of successful South films. This time is another way as the filmmakers from South have joined the race to acquire remake rights of Anubhav Sinha’s Article 15.
Anubhav Sinha’s Article 15, which stars Ayushamann Khurrana in the lead is witnessing a reverse trend. Since the film touches upon a prevalent issue, many filmmakers from the South are in the race to acquire remake rights of the film. However, there has been no official word regarding who has finally bought the rights. Even South superstar Dhanush, during one of the interviews, expressed that he was keen on remaking the film in Tamil.
Article 15, which opened to positive response and earned huge at the box office, stars Isha Talwar, M Nassar, Manoj Pahwa, Sayani Gupta, Kumud Mishra and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub. It has been directed by Anubhav Sinha, produced by Anubhav Sinha and Zee Studios.
