Tamil actor Arya's upcoming film with director Santhakumar who previously directed 'Mouna Guru' has been titled 'Magamuni'. This film is all set to release in the month of September. Magamuni is produced by KE Gnanavel Raja of Studio Green. This film also stars Mahima Nambiar, Indhuja, Junior Balaiyya, Jayaprakash, Arul Doss, G M Sundar and Kaali Venkat in key roles. The makers have now confirmed that the film will be releasing in September. The film is expected to be a crime thriller.

The film, Magamuni has elements of crime and politics in its storyline. The music direction of this Arya starrer will be done by Thaman. Arun Bathmanaban will be doing the camera work for this film. VJ Sabu who is a National Award winner will be the editor for this film. The film's production design is done by Rambon Paulraj and action scenes are choreographed Prakash. Magamuni is expected to have Arya playing a double role. The theatrical rights for Magamuni are bought by Tarun Pictures. The director of this film, Santhakumar, had also directed Arulnithi starrer Mouna Guru. He is returning to direction after eight years with Magamuni.

The actor is looking forward to the release of the film, Kaappaan and Teddy. Kaappaan is directed by KV Anand and Teddy is helmed by Shakti Soundar Rajan. Arya was last seen in the film, Ghajinikanth which was a comedy film alongside his wife, Sayyeshaa. Kaappaan has Suriya playing the lead role and Arya is essaying a key role. The actor is essaying the role of Mohanlal's son in the film.
