Arjun Reddy star Vijay Deverakonda wishes THIS for Shahid Kapoor’s Kabir Singh

A film that has been making a lot of buzz among the youth is Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani’s Kabir Singh. It is a remake of Telugu film, Arjun Reddy starring Vijay Deverakonda. Arjun Reddy went onto be one of the biggest successes of Vijay’s career and people loved him in the role of an angry doctor in love. In Kabir Singh, Shahid is seen playing the same role with his twist to it. Shahid’s boyish charm has surely been loved and when the film went on floors, Vijay wished Shahid for the role. 

Now, that the film is all set to release next week, Vijay spoke about it in a recent interaction. In the interview with Deccan Chronicle, Vijay was asked about Sandeep Vanga remaking the film in Hindi with Shahid. To this, Vijay mentioned that he is excited to see what the director has done with the original script and how he has managed to redirect it with a new vision. He said, “Knowing Sandeep he must have interpreted the original script—amazing as it was, to begin within an exciting new light.”

Not just this, Vijay also was anxious to see how Shahid had portrayed the character on screen. Vijay mentioned that he did what he had to in the Telugu film and now, he wishes to see Shahid’s take on it. “I did what I had to in Arjun Reddy. I am sure Shahid has done something exceptional in Kabir Singh. Shahid is an actor whose work I’ve liked ever since I saw him in Ishq Vishq,” said the Telugu superstar. Vijay revealed towards the end what he wishes for Shahid’s Kabir Singh. He said he wishes that the film turns out to be a huge blockbuster. He said, “I want Kabir Singh to be a massive blockbuster.” When the poster was released, Vijay wished Shahid on twitter as well. Kabir Singh will hit the screens on June 21, 2019. 

On the work front, Vijay Deverakonda is gearing up for his own release, Dear Comrade. The film has faced many delays and now is releasing in July. The film also stars Rashmika Mandanna and is directed by Bharat Kamma. The film is produced by Yash Rangineni and the teaser and music of the film are already being liked by fans. It is slated to release on July 26, 2019.
