Late Rebel star Ambareesh, who was born on 29 May 1952, in Mandya, Karnataka, is receiving lot of love and wishes on his birth anniversary. The great actor has given some memorable and wonderful moments to the audience on the big screen. Known for his rebellious roles in Kannada cinema, the late legend Ambareesh's wonderful work is remembered even today. Now, taking his legacy ahead is Ambareesh's son Abhishek who is making his Sandalwood debut with the upcoming film, Amar. 

The film is all set to release on May 31. Directed by Nagashekar, the film is based on a rallyist. The craze around the film is insane and reportedly, one of Ambareesh's fans has bought the ticket of film Amar for worth Rs 1 Lakh. According to a report in Filmibeat, Manjunath, one of the biggest fans of Ambareesh from Davanegere has bought first day-first show ticket of the film for a whopping price on the name of Sandesh production. Now, this is crazy and beyond one can think of a die-hard fan doing something for his favourite star. 

Legendary actor and former MP Ambareesh passed away on November 25, 2018. After suffering from a massive cardiac arrest. Known as the ‘Rebel Star’ of the industry, the veteran actor breathed his last in Bengaluru. Soon, Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Mohanlal, Allu Arjun and many others took to Twitter to mourn the death of the Kannada star.

Ambareesh won the National Award for his debut film Naagarahaavu in 1972 and was known as ‘Rebel star’. He served as a Union Minister in the UPA Government led by Manmohan Singh and was an MP from 1998-99, 1999-2004 and 2004-2009.
