Amala Paul has kissed her co-star Ramya in their latest film Aadai. In an interview, Amala got candid about the kiss and doing bold scenes. Read on.
Amala Paul starrer Aadai released on July 19 and opened to good reviews. Directed by Rathna Kumar, the film also stars Ramya Subramanian in a pivotal role. In the trailer, Amala and Ramya have a kissing scene together. In an interview with Indian Express, Amala Paul was asked about the scene.
The actress said, "My dad says, "Naai vesham poatta kolachchu dhane aaganum?” A painter paints nude stuff. That’s his job. Likewise, acting is my job. That said, what’s wrong in kissing a girl? (Winks) Why are we judgemental?"
Amala further added that the shot was not in the script it happened on the spot. She said that once y you are in the character, you should let your inner actor take over you. When asked how she prepared herself for mentally for the controversial scenes, Amala Paul said that she was tensed as it was a huge risk. But she trusted her crew and made sure no mobile phones were allowed during the shoot of bold scenes.
