Vijay Sethupathi is one of the most bankable stars in Tamil industry today. The actor has carried quite a few movies on his shoulder with his mind-blowing performance. Be it 96 or Super Deluxe, the actor hasn't failed to meet fan expectations. The actor is already busy with a few projects and it was recently reported that the actor will star with Amala Paul in a new film. Just as we were celebrating this union, our hopes were dashed by a new update. If you were among those fans who were excited over Sethupathi and Paul coming together, we have some bad news for you guys.
In an unfortunate turn of events, it has been reported that the actress is no longer a part of the project. The actress was roped in to star opposite Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi in an untitled project. The movie is helmed by debutant director Venkata Krishna Roganth. He has assisted SP Jhananathan. The cast was perfect until it was revealed that Amala's other project's dates are clashing with this romantic genre movie.
A source told Times of India that Amala decided to opt out of the movie due to the clash in dates. But worry not, Venkata has found her replacement. It has been reported that Megha Akash will be filling in for Amala in the movie. For the unversed, she was seen in movies like Petta and Vandha Rajavthaan Varuven. She's already reached Ooty and begun filming for the same.
The insider said, "The director and the producer felt that Megha would be apt for this role, and her pairing up with Vijay Sethupathi will be new for the audiences." The film, which has been dubbed as VSP33, is produced by Esakki Durai of Chandaraa arts. Magizh Thirumeni has been zeroed in to play the anti-hero.
