Amala Paul lands in trouble due to her nude scenes in Aadai? Politician files a complaint against her

At times, films become national news even before they hit the screens due to certain scenes which might be offensive to certain sections of the society. Speaking of this, Amala Paul starrer Aadai is an upcoming Tamil film which has managed to garner attention due to the bold scenes the actress done. For the film, Amala has bared it all and the trailer just gave a glimpse of her character in the film. While the film has got an A certificate, many people have objected to the nude scenes.

Speaking of this, a politician, Priya Rajeshwari has filed a complaint against Amala Paul regarding the same. As per a report in India Glitz, the politician had issues with the nude scenes of the film which have been picturised on Amala and hence, filed a complaint against the actress. The politician also stated that the police should take strict action against the actress for spreading nudity with the film. Priya also emphasised on the fact that the nude scenes in the film will influence the youth’s minds and may promote the rape culture.

Though the film has been viewed by the censor board and has got an A certificate, the nude scenes haven’t been removed. Post the complaint, the police have instructed the distributors of the film not to use it as a means of promoting the film. While Amala is busy promoting her film, the actress has time and again backed the film. In an interview, Amala also cited the kissing scene between Ramya and her and said, “What's wrong with kissing a woman?” The film is directed by Rathna Kumar and is produced by Viji Subramaniyan. It is slated to release on July 19, 2019.
