Airport Spotting: After Prabhas, Chiranjeevi & Siva Koratala head to meet Andhra Pradesh CM Jagan Mohan Reddy

Megastar Chiranjeevi and director Koratala Siva head to meet Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy to discuss the ticket price issue. Other celebs including Prabhas, SS Rajamouli, and Mahesh Babu will also be part of the meet. 

It all started when the Andhra Pradesh Government passed an amendment to bring down the prices of tickets. The move did not go well with the theatre owners. They were already going through losses with the pandemic and this amendment added to their troubles.

In fact several theatres in the state have not been operating as the owners claim it is not feasible for them to run operations at these prices. Backing their decision, the government says the reason for the amendment was to make entertainment affordable for the poor public. 

Maha Samudram actor Siddharth penned a series of tweets on the subject. The star questioned the government on the new ticket prices. Siddharth requested the state government to re-evaluate its decision and suggest that they calculate the average house rent and per capita consumer spending and then decide what should be the prices of tickets. However, no change in the prices has been done yet and the government is presently in discussion on the matter. 

Now talking about Chiranjeevi’s upcoming releases, the Telugu star will play the lead in Koratala Siva’s action drama Acharya. He will be accompanied by son Ram Charan and Kajal Aggarwal as the cast. Produced by Matinee Entertainment and Konidela Production Company, Acharya will be hitting the silver screens on 29 April.
