After Asuran, Manju Warrier to collaborate with Rajinikanth in Thalaivar 168?

Tamil actress Manju Warrier has all the reasons to grin ear to ear these days. After all, her recent release Asuran opposite Dhanush has been well received by both the critics and audience. The movie, which has been helmed by Vetrimaaran, has raked in a collection of Rs. 4.20 crore in ten days so far. Meanwhile, Manju and Dhanush’s performance has also been appreciated by the viewers. And while the How Old Are You? actress has been basking in the success of Asuran, it is reported that she has been roped in for another big project.

According to media reports, Manju Warrier has been approached for Rajinikanth’s upcoming project Thalaivar 168. Reportedly, she was zeroed in by Thalaivar 168 director Siva who was impressed with her performance in Asuran. The media reports suggested that Siva had convinced the makers of the Rajinikanth starrer to cast Manju in the lead. While the reports of the actress being finalised are rife, an official announcement is yet to be made in this regard. We wonder if the big announcement is coming anytime soon.

Talking about Thalaivar 168, the movie will mark Rajinikanth’s first collaboration with Siva. The big news was announced by Sun Pictures with an interesting teaser poster on micro-blogging site Twitter. To note, with Thalaivar 168, Rajinikanth will be working with Sun Pictures for the third time. They have earlier worked on Enthiran and Petta which turned out to blockbusters. Reportedly, Thalaivar 168 is expected to release by 2020 end.

As of now, Rajinikanth is working on AR Murugadoss directorial Darbar. The movie will feature the megastar playing the role of a cop. Interestingly, he will be donning the uniform almost 27 years his 1992 release Pandiyan. Also starring Suniel Shetty, Dalip Tahil, Nayanthara and Prateik Babbar, Darbar is slated to hit the screens in January 2020.
