Kollywood star Vijay, who is fondly called Thalapathy by his fans, has completed 27 years in the film industry today, December 4th. At the age of 10, Thalapathy Vijay kick-started his acting career as a child actor in the film Vetri (1984) and since then, there has been no looking back. Vijay has become box office king and has been winning hearts of the audience with back to back hit films. Last seen in blockbuster film Bigil, Vijay is ruling the Tamil cinema like a boss. On this special occasion, fans of the superstar are celebrating this special occasion with the Twitter trend, #27YrsOfKwEmperorVIJAY. 

Vijay fans have been sending best wishes to their favourite star as he completes glorious 27 years in the film industry. Vijay made his full-fledged Kollywood debut on December 4, 1992, with the film Naalaiya Theerpu. He was just 18 then. The actor kick-started his career with a film that was directed by his father, S.A. Chandrasekhar and was produced by his mother Sobha Chandrasekhar. Then, during an earlier interview to Scroll, Vijay's father said, “To be honest, I shouldn’t have made that film for him especially when he was just 18.”
