In the SOOP: During BTS' Jin & Suga's heartfelt chat, latter REVEALS why he's glad to not have become an actor
In the SOOP BTS ver. Ep 8 saw Jin and Suga having a candid conversation where they spoke about how grateful they are to be a part of BTS. Watch Yoonjin's heart-to-heart below.
When Jin and Yoongi proclaimed how they've become soulmates over time as they can spend hours chatting away in a prior episode of In the SOOP BTS ver., we got to witness such a moment in the final episode that aired last night. Post their last dinner at Lake 192, as a part of their week-long healing trip, the eternal roommates chilled together at the main house while pondering what they would have done if not for music.
As Yoongi posed the existential question during In the SOOP BTS ver. Ep 8, Jin immediately replied, "You would've been successful regardless." The eldest BTS member then wondered what he would be doing if not a part of BTS, to which the Daechwita rapper replied, "You would be an actor. I think you would've been successful as an actor," even though Jin wasn't off the same opinion. "My life changed after I met you guys. I used to just live my life by going with the flow. That's why who you surround yourself with is so important. You're always all so hard-working. I watch and learn from you guys to work harder. But if I became an actor, I may not have been responsible because I'd be alone. I might not even have worked hard," the Moon singer explained.
Suga added that he doesn't always work hard either to which Jin reasoned that when he doesn't, the other members do. Yoongi believes that to be the reason why BTS has such a "healthy relationship." Jin reiterated, "Being around you guys taught me that who I surround myself with is so important." Yoongi confessed that he acts like he works hard which Jin thinks is also important as it motivates the people around him. "When I'm moved by you to work hard, you'll be inspired by watching me too," Jin added. Suga admitted that for a while, he regretted it since he had kept saying that he has to keep working hard. Yoongi then realised that it was him showing greed, hence, he regretted it.
"No, this is the amount of things you've accomplished. If you regret it (Suga adds, "I do want to work a little less.")... Say that you have achieved this much from working tirelessly without regrets. Then, you're left with these many accomplishments. And what you've achieved so far is amazing. None of it's bad. Sure, it's understandable to regret your choices if you hadn't accomplished so much. But since you've already accomplished so much, I hope you wouldn't have those kind of thoughts. You've gone above and beyond. All of this success was possible because you worked tirelessly and lived to the fullest without regrets. That's what I think. You can't do anything about the past. You can do better from now on," Jin advised.
Suga quipped that he needs to regret less to be happier to which Jin confessed that he doesn't really regret much in life. "You're one of the people I strive most to be like these days," Yoongi confessed to which Jin added that he can go ahead so what's stopping him. "You know you can't be optimistic just because you want to. I'm still going to try," Yoongi added laughing while Jin concluded, "Being optimistic... You can try to be optimistic; you just have to live mindlessly. Don't consciously try to be optimistic."

While we adore Jin's inner maknae side, we also cherish the moments when his hyung side comes out as witnessed by Yoonjin's heart-to-heart during In the SOOP BTS ver. Ep 8.
Meanwhile, In the SOOP BTS ver. Ep 8 marked the unfortunate end to BTS' healing trip into the woods which was like a cosy pillow fort for BTS ARMY, even if it was virtually. We got to see the boys being away from their idol personas and enjoy being 20 somethings in a normal set up. From fishing to painting, the septet indulged in different hobbies. Moreover, their cooking adventures always provided laugh out loud moments; from trying to cook fried chicken to struggling with the weighty cauldron. Nonetheless, being away from their hectic schedule, even if only for a week, was a welcome delight for ARMY who know how hardworking BTS really is.
