Snowdrop: Here's all you need to know about Jisoo's intriguing lead character in SKY Castle creators' drama
Jisoo will be starring in her first drama as a lead character in SKY Castle creator's upcoming series Snowdrop. Read below for all the exciting details about her intriguing character Eun Young-cho.
Jisoo will definitely be on cloud nine with the release of BLACKPINK's first official studio album titled BLACKPINK - The Album as well as her first lead role in JTBC's upcoming drama Snowdrop. The series is directed and written by SKY Castle creators Jo Hyun-tak and Yoo Hyun-mi. Along with Jisoo, the confirmed cast members include Something in the Rain's Jung Hae-in and Jung Yoo-jin, SKY Castle's Kim Hye-yoon and Yoon Se-ah and Chocolate's Jang Seung-jo.
As per Hankook Ilbo, Snowdrop is set in Seoul in 1987 and is a love story between Im Soo-ho (Hae-in) and Eun Young-cho (Jisoo). Soo-ho is a student at a prestigious university who suddenly dashes into a female dorm while covered in blood. Young-cho, a cheerful and lovable student, hides Soo-ho in secret while tending to his wounds inspite of being in danger under close surveillance. While Soo-ho grew up in Germany and has a gentle charm albeit hiding a big secret, the lively Young-cho falls in love with him at first sight during a social gathering. Eventually, their paths cross again at the female dorm.
Se-ah plays Pi Seung-hee, the strict and terrifying housemother of Young-cho's dorm while Hye-yoon portrays Kye Boon-ok, the dorm's phone operator who let go of a college education due to her family's financial circumstances. Seung-jo will be seen as Lee Kang-moo, National Intelligence Service (NIS)'s Team 1 head who insists on doing everything by the book while Yoo-jin enacts Jang Han-na, an impulsive and hot-tempered NIS agent who happens to be very passionate about her job.
Snowdrop producers shared with Hankook Ilbo, "As we have gathered a team of actors who have both top-class acting skills and visuals, we will greet our viewers with an especially high-quality drama."
