SHINee's Key pays a heartwarming tribute to Jonghyun; Says they miss him every day
SHINee member Key, thanked bandmate and late vocalist Jonghyun during their Mnet Countdown win.
The tragic loss of a loved one leaves a void so deep, that even time cannot heal it fully. The unfortunate demise of SHINee's lead vocalist Kim Jonghyun is something, the other members and Shawols can never recover from fully. Shawols worldwide have always believed and carried forward the 'Five or Nothing' adage proudly! Not only that, SHINee members too acknowledge Jonghyun's presence in their hearts and leave no opportunity to thank him for being omnipresent in their lives.
In the group's recent Mnet Countdown appearance, lead rapper Kim Kibum aka Key paid a heartwarming tribute to Jonghyun. According to a fan translation Key, who was visibly emotional, proceeded to speak in a choking voice, "There’s something that I haven’t been able to say in a long time. There is someone that we really miss and long for lately. The empty space is still big. I want to tell them that we really, really love them. Thank you". Minho, who was standing beside him, put an arm around his shoulder to comfort him. Key may not have been verbose in mentioning Jonghyun's name, but Shawols immediately understood the reference and felt emotional too.

On the same night, SHINee members took home their second trophy for Don’t Call Me. On the March 4 episode of M Countdown, the songs in the running for first were Kang Daniel’s PARANOIA and SHINee’s Don’t Call Me. SHINee took the win with a total score of 10,990 to Kang Daniel’s 5,127.
